Supporting regional and rural communities to thrive

The Regional Advantage exists to support, strengthen, and sustain rural and regional communities by providing accessible training, governance resources, technical support and leadership development to organisations that rely on volunteer boards, are small not for profits or are impact led.

We empower volunteers, committee members, and grassroots leaders with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to manage their groups effectively, build long-term sustainability, and foster thriving regional and rural Australian communities for generations to come.

We want to hear from you

We are developing a practical, online training resource portal to support people in rural, regional and remote Australia who are involved (or would like to be involved) in community groups, sporting clubs, and not-for-profits.

This portal aims to provide training, resources, and tools to help with governance, leadership, financial management, succession planning, and volunteer retention.

Your responses will help shape real, useful training modules tailored to the needs of rural community leaders. The survey should take about 5-7 minutes to complete.

All responses are confidential.

“The Regional Advantage aims to address the lack of co-ordinated support that helps uplift these volunteers, community groups and people who want to make impact, across rural, regional and remote areas. ”
